Client Feedback

Comments from studio managers, organisers and venue teams about what it was like to work with venuemix.

In their words

What clients say about working with us

These are accounts from people we have worked with on studio fit-outs and live events. They describe how the work felt in practice, in their own words.

We were fitting out a small streaming studio and had no idea where to start with cabling. The layout drawing and labelled patch list meant our own installer could get on with it, and we still use those documents when we change anything.

Rebecca ThorneStudio manager, regional streaming facility

Our outdoor evening event had a tight schedule and a lot of moving parts. The sound was clear from the first song, and the crew knew the running order better than some of our own staff. Nothing needed fixing on the night.

Marcus ElleryEvent organiser, community music night

The lighting for our stage show was planned around the venue's rigging limits rather than despite them. We appreciated being told early what would and would not work, and the programming matched what we had discussed.

Joanna PryceProducer, touring theatre company

We asked for help with camera control on a multi-camera shoot. The setup suited our director's habits, and the notes left behind helped our team run the next session without calling anyone. Plain, practical and well explained.

What stands out

What clients tend to mention about the work

Looking across the comments we receive, a few themes recur. They are not claims we make for ourselves, but they describe the habits we try to keep on every job, large or small.

Clear communication

Clients often mention that they knew what was happening and when. We write down what has been agreed, answer questions plainly, and say so early when something will not work. A written plan and quotation mean there is a record to return to if memories differ later. Phone calls are returned, and follow-up notes arrive without being asked for. None of this is complicated, but it is what keeps a production calm.

Preparation on the day

People notice when equipment is tested, cables are labelled and the crew has already read the schedule. Much of the work happens before anyone arrives at the venue, in planning, programming and checking details with the people who run the space. By the time the audience or presenters turn up, the technical side is settled and the team can focus on handling the unexpected.

Useful handover

For studio clients especially, what remains after we leave matters as much as the day itself. We provide drawings, patch lists and short operating notes written for your own technicians. The aim is that your team can run, maintain and extend the system confidently. Several clients have told us they still refer to these documents long after the project finished.
