Straight answers on how we work with studios and event teams, from first enquiry and site visits to equipment, crew and what happens on the day.

Questions we hear most often

These answers cover the practical points studio managers and organisers ask before booking us. If yours is not here, send it through the contact page and we will reply in writing.

  1. What kinds of projects does venuemix take on?

We work on small and mid-sized broadcast and streaming studios, and on live events such as concerts, festivals, stage shows and private parties. That covers studio layout, camera control, lighting, live sound and the signal and crew planning that connects them. If a job sits outside that, we will say so plainly in our first reply.

  2. Can you work with the equipment we already own?

Yes, and we usually prefer to start there. We list what you have, check what still suits the job and note any gaps before suggesting anything new. Where something needs replacing, we explain why and what the alternatives are, so the decision stays with you and the budget stays sensible.

  3. Do you visit the studio or venue before the work starts?

For studio design and larger events we recommend a visit. Seeing the room, the power, the cable routes and the load-in access saves problems later. For small, simple jobs a floor plan, photographs and a phone call can be enough. We will tell you which applies when we reply to your enquiry.

  4. How do you price a job?

Our prices page sets out starting prices for each kind of work, and what they include. Your final figure depends on the size of the venue, the number of cameras, channels or fixtures, the crew needed and the hours involved. You receive a written quotation before anything is agreed, so there are no surprises.

  5. How does ordering and payment work?

You send an enquiry through the contact page, and we answer with a written quotation or confirmation. Once you accept it, we issue an invoice, which is paid by bank transfer. Nothing is bought or paid for on the website itself, and the details are in our payment and refund policy.

  6. What happens if we need to cancel or change the date?

Tell us as early as you can, in writing. Changes of date are handled case by case, depending on crew and equipment already set aside for you. Cancellations and any refunds follow the terms in our payment and refund policy, which we point you to when we send the quotation.

  7. Can you provide crew for the day as well as the planning?

Yes. We can supply engineers for front-of-house and monitor sound, lighting operators and a production manager to keep the schedule moving. Some clients want only the plan and run the day with their own people. Either way, we agree who does what in writing beforehand.

  8. What should we send you with our first enquiry?

Tell us what the event or studio is, the date or target period, the venue and roughly how many people it holds. Add any equipment you already have, and anything you know is fixed, such as a streaming platform or a house sound system. Plans and photographs help but are not essential.
